So today I wondered if there was a way to generate an RSS feed for tags. I knew there was a way to do this for blog categories so followed the format for a blog RSS feed and changed it out to tag. Sure enough it works.
Example: here’s the link to my RSS feed for anything tagged ‘SEO’ http://www.webmatters.co.nz/tag/seo/feed/

The two web tools I am the most ‘fanatic’ about, have come together. MailChimp is a great email marketing system and WordPress is the best blogging software around. Now you can quickly add your MailChimp email newsletter sign up form into the sidebar of your WordPress blog. This is great news!
You can get the plugin from the MailChimp website

Until recently, I’d never been that concerned with what my website or blog looks like on a PDA. But now I am the happy owner of a Windows Mobile Device, so I had to check my site out. The site displayed all of the graphics but there was a lot of scrolling required to read the text. Plus with data charges not exactly cheap in NZ, I didn’t want anyone to have to download the graphics.
So I thought it would be nice to have my site render properly on a PDA, as word on the street is that is where the future lies (at least according to a Vodafone UK contact I know).
Getting the blog and in fact the entire website rendering properly on a PDA probably sounds like a bit of effort would be involved, but no, it was achieved in 5 minutes. That’s because I use WordPress and there is a WordPress plugin that does exactly what I wanted it to. Once the plugin was installed, my site loaded in plain text with hyper links (and all rather nice and quickly).
If you want your WordPress blog to work on a PDA as well, then check out the plugin
