The website had been online for at least 6 years. Despite having excellent link popularity (with a PageRank of 6 out of 10) the website could not be found in the top 30 results for the majority of its keyword phrases. The client was also looking to have their website copy enhanced.
What we did:
Prior to search engine optimisation, we prepare a report listing the current rankings the site had in Google. We found that only 20% of the terms searched for could be found in the top 3 pages of Google. The existing website copy was edited to improve readability, and keyword relevancy. A search engine optimisation report was prepared with detailed recommendations on changes to alt tags and internal linking structure, and specific Meta descriptions and title tags were written. The recommendations were implemented by the client’s in-house website designer.
The results we achieved:
- Within days of the changes being implemented the site was crawled and re-indexed by Google.
- Keyword rankings were divided into two category types and were tracked over 14 days after indexing
- Top rankings were achieved within the first week
- Two week’s after SEO 90% of the site’s keyword phrases were ranking in the top 30 results on Google and close to 60% were ranking in the top 10
- Enquiries via the website increased significantly
Prior to SEO only 20% of the site’s keyword phrases were ranking in the first three pages of Google. Two weeks after SEO 90% of the site’s keyword phrases were ranking in the first three pages of Google.
Prior to SEO only 7% of the site’s keyword phrases were ranking on the first page of Google. Two weeks after SEO 35% of the phrases were ranking in the top 10 and 2 weeks post seo just under 60% of the keyword phrases were now ranking in the top 10 of Google.
