Back in September I was asked to write a review of New Zealand’s party political websites by Start Up – initially National and Labour and then the minor parties. The series is now live on the NZ Herald website.

It was an interesting topic to write about, and I’d suggest that my general apathy towards the going’s ons of New Zealand politics in general (except for the big topics mind you!) put me in a good position to be quite objective and neutral. At least I hope I was…

My conclusion was that most of the parties are lagging behind in their use of web technologies and have a lot of catching up to do.  Some are worse than others, but there was a clear winner in web savvy-ness (National having the edge over every other party).
